Thought you might like a bit of feedback regarding your services and how I’ve benefited. My first impression was your enthusiasm. I wanted variety in my exercises, you promised plenty… and you deliver! That makes my regular twice weekly sessions enjoyable; even though you push me to my limit. The sessions are fun and conducted in a friendly yet persuasive way that both encourages and enables me to achieve my fitness objectives. My visits are never simply routine, your level of interest and expertise make for a pleasant experience. My programme is tailor made for my requirements. I feel that you are able to custom create a programme for any individual and would recommend your services without hesitation. I am well pleased with your commitment to me and wouldn’t hesitate to encourage any person wanting to improve their fitness to employ you as an enthusiastic guide and instructor. I look forward to my twice-weekly sessions. They are always interesting, entertaining, enjoyable, and educational. If work commitments allowed I would book 3 sessions. In the last few months my job has been very demanding –both physically and mentally, I honestly believe that my new found fitness and the mental recharge I receive from training with Andy has helped me get through the long days. I always look forward to training, no matter how tired I am. It feels like ‘my time’ - my time to focus on me, to forget about everything else that is happening. Pushing my body to its limits is rewarding and refreshes on the inside and is reshaping on the outside. Andy is great at challenging you to reach your potential. As you improve the challenge gets a little more difficult, but always within your capabilities, often what you achieve surprises and surpasses what you think you can do. Motivation is definitely one of Andy’s strong points, he will find and use that last ounce of energy every time! However, that last ounce is the ounce that makes all the difference. You quickly learn how many versions there are of each exercise. If you can’t manage one way Andy will soon supply another. This means you never feel you have failed as you always get to finish the exercise. Training sessions with Andy are never boring or predictable (he loves surprises!). He gets to know everyone, their strong and weak points. He puts a lot of effort into preparing individual training plans and regularly changes the routine and exercises used. I like this approach as you never know what to expect but the challenge is always fun. 8 months ago, I could not lift weights, run and most certainly not box, now I use 15kg weights, and can run to the top of a steep local hill without stopping. I will never step into a boxing ring but the workout I get from a few rounds of boxing training each session is intense. To some, running to the top of a hill or lifting heavy weights may not see much but to me the sense of achievement is wonderful, each session provides incentive to return and challenge myself to achieve more next time. Several people have told me I look fit and strong and have lost weight and I feel it too. I am so glad I called when I did!
Jan, my friend and training partner, and I have been having personal training sessions with Andy since October 2006 and it's probably fair to say that we're hooked. We'd have to be to get up at 5.00 am (yes, throughout winter also), three days a week, Too train as hard as we do! Jan and I had been going to the gym for a few years. We even changed gyms in an effort to be better motivated because we didn't seem to be improving our fitness levels much. When Jan received Andy's flyer in her letter box we decided to give it a go. Andy plans his sessions meticulously and always seems to know how far to extend us to the limit without overdoing it. There is a lot of variety in what we do which helps to keep us interested and motivated. So now we feel really fit, we've lost centimetres everywhere, and we have a lot of fun. It's so much better than going to the gym.
After receiving Andy’s brochure in the mail, I decided to give him a call & discuss what he had to offer. Not only was it convenient for me (with Andy’s studio only one street away) but when we spoke on the phone Andy made me feel confident that I could take on this challenge. My first visit was a fitness test and measuring of body fat (yes ladies, I know) but Andy was very professional and made it fun. After receiving my results I finaly had to face the facts that I was not as fit as my high school days (12 years ago!) I decided that now was the time to push myself to be fit again. I attended a couple of one-on-one sessions and found that Andy and I worked really well together. He catered the sessions to my ability, but pushed me just that little bit more each time. After quite a few one-on-one sessions Andy told me about ‘FitClub’ which is one of the group sessions. I was nervous at first not knowing the group but it felt very comfortable because it’s all so friendly. Andy has a way of making FitClub a personal workout by choosing different weights or doing a particular exercise a different way to the others. If you feel you need a break you just stop for a few moments & then join in again. I have been seeing Andy for over 6 months now & I have not looked back! I feel confident, fit, motivated and I have made new friends! The best part about seeing Andy is the boxing. I used to be one of those people who saw other’s running in the street or at a gym and wished that I could be one of them. I weighed close to 90kg and was very unfit and unhappy. I started with AJ Fitness just over a year ago and with Andy’s help I have lost 20kg and I’m feeling fit and healthy. Now, I amone of those people that run – and I love it. It doesn’t matter how fit (or unfit) you are, Andy will personalise a training regime to suit you to build up your fitness. You can choose from 1 on 1 or group classes, there’s even a ‘Mum’s fit club’ with a sitter available, and you leave feeling great because you know Andy has pushed you to your limit. He knows how to get results and there’s no need to be shy, as everyone has to start somewhere. I did, and I’m happier than ever.
I started training with Andy a few months ago and I'm very happy with the results. The group sessions are good fun and the other clients are all nice and friendly. Andy's flexibility with one-on-one session times is very valuable as I have a job with changing rosters and I never really know when I can train. Andy is always enthusiastic and includes lots of variety in his sessions. You never really know what to expect which keeps things interesting. I'm the sort of person who needs a lot of motivation to exercise and Andy certainly provides that!
I wanted to write and say how fantastic you are for offering support to Mum’s who want to get fit. I love Mum’s Club – it is easily the most effective fitness program I have undertaken (and I’ve tried lots!) and I can honestly say it has changed my life. I first attended Mum’s club when I was overweight, a little lonely and battling depression. Mum’s club gave me a ‘place to go’, where my children were genuinely cared for and entertained, where I met other amazing women while I got fit. Mums Club gave me a terrific sense of purpose and achievement when I needed it most. Your programs were always different and challenging, but fun! And I found the camaraderie of exercising in a small group so much less isolating than doing a gym session. I love your earlybird sessions now, but still ‘visit’ Mum’s Club when I can. For a hard year in my life Mum’s Club ticked all the boxes: fun, friendship, fresh air, a playgroup for my children, easy on my budget … and I lost 10kg! Thanks Andy for supporting Mum’s out there … you’ve made it so much easier to feel fit and fabulous! Every Mum should know about it! |
